Our management team combined, have over two decades worth of experience running Osborne Lodge Care Home.
They know the home, staff and residents inside out. They have worked on building strong, long-lasting, trusted relationships within the team, which enables the home to run effectively and efficiently. Some of our carers have been with the home 18 yrs, which is very unusual and highly valued within the sector.
Osborne Lodge is part of Vauxian Care Homes. This means that the team also has access to a Regional Manager, Beverly Harris. Beverly has been in the care home sector for over 30 years and holds a wealth of experience and knowledge. She also helps share best practice between Osborne Lodge and Adamscourt.
Beverly also sits on the NHS Infection Prevention and Control Board and our home was recognised by CQC for its great infection control during the COVID outbreak.

Lisa Shorey
Deputy Manager
Lisa has worked at Osborne Lodge for over 17 years, starting as a cleaner, she enjoyed working in the home so much that she began to train and progress towards becoming a Carer, then a Senior Carer, Head of Care and then to Deputy Manager, making care her career.
Lisa says:
"I have loved every moment of my carer career, especially interacting with the residents and ensuring they are safe, happy and content. With every story and life history of our residents, I became more passionate and wanted to give the residents the best that I could. Passing on knowledge to new staff is another passion. Every day I learn more than I thought possible myself.
My nan was my inspiration for my choice of career, she was a fantastic lady who taught me how to respect others and I believe she is the reason for my caring nature. My nan passed on some lovely quotes and this one always stuck in my mind, "enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realise they were the biggest" . This is how I feel about care, even the smallest things you can do for someone can mean the biggest thing for them."
